To receive
With faith and love
Oh do believe
This is the Living
Only wise King
So be reverent
As you to him bring
Gifts of love
Hope and joy
Approach in awe
Truth employ
Why stand
If you can kneel
Bow down low
For God to heal
Oh unconsecrated
Fragile hand
Why stretch it forth
Do you not understand
Almighty God
Could fall between
Your broken fingers
Where He has been
It may be lawful
Your preferred way
But the Church to has preference
I've heard her say
Oh on this meditate
And fear not to kneel
And kiss your saviour
In the sacrificial meal
