Trudge trudge trudge
Through the heavy day
The weight of nothingness
On me does lay
Thank God for Mass
That lifts me to Gods throne
As he hears my every prayer
And my every weary groan
The wounds of the mind
The grey clouds stay
They follow me around
Now every day
But I have hope
In my God always
I know this too shall pass
For God never strays
Silent joy remains still
So calm in my innermost being
Peace in pure gentleness
My Spirit is now seeing
For God does abide
In me through each sacrament
I love him so much
Though my heart is daily rent
Through the heavy day
The weight of nothingness
On me does lay
Thank God for Mass
That lifts me to Gods throne
As he hears my every prayer
And my every weary groan
The wounds of the mind
The grey clouds stay
They follow me around
Now every day
But I have hope
In my God always
I know this too shall pass
For God never strays
Silent joy remains still
So calm in my innermost being
Peace in pure gentleness
My Spirit is now seeing
For God does abide
In me through each sacrament
I love him so much
Though my heart is daily rent
