Missing Mass

I missed mass on Sunday
Perhaps it wasn't my fault
But I feel out of me
Has been shaken a lot of salt
Can I be salted again
Maybe I didn't lose it all
But the humbling duty of confession
Does me now call

I was up and down at the hospital
4 times that day
But I still feel that I
Got in the way
Looking back now
I really could have went
But thank God he loves me
And his goodness helps me repent

Oh Catholic never miss mass
It's a deadly sin
A mortal one too
Heaven you'll not win
Flee to confession
Careful how you go
And always always know
You'll reap all that you sow
