Temptation

Temptation is strong 

To be deceived 

To walk away 

God to grieve 

To live a life 

Of Eastern chant 

But for Christ 

My spirit pants 

When I get low

And confused 

And find the truth 

I have abused 

I want to run 

And to escape 

And have my big mouth 

Tightly Taped 

Thank God 

For Gregorian Chant 

And for adoration

But do I want 

To be with God 

Or have my senses delighting

Oh come to me 

And do me enlighten

Make it easy 

Make it broad 

The narrow path 

My request so odd 

Arrest me 

In my apathy 

And come again 

And set me free
